Section-A

1. What is digital computer? Explain the components of digital computer with suitable block diagram. (5)

2. What do you understand by multimedia? Explain. (5)

3. What are the various computer settings that can be configured through windows control panel? 

State. (5) 

4. What are the techniques to secure word processing document? (5) 

5. In MS Excel, how do you combine the logical operators AND and OR with an IF clause? Give an example. (5) 

6. Differentiate between primary key and foreign key with example. (5) 

7. Define mail merge. Write down the steps of mail merge. (2+8=10) 

8. What is the database management system(DBMS)? Briefly explain various types of relationship in a database with examples. Why do we need to validate and format field data in a database? Explain. (2+6+2=10)

9. What do you mean by animation and transition effects in PowerPoint Presentation?  Write down the advantages of using those effects in the presentation slides. (5)

10. Define social media. Discuss the use of social media in governance. (5)

11. What is an IP address and subnet mask? How can one assign an IP address to a PC? (5)

12. Write short note on "Identity and Access Control". (5)

13. What do you understand by an UPS? Differentiate between online and offline UPS. (5)

14. Describe about the major services provided by Government Integrated Data Center. (5)

15. Define Web page and Content Management System(CMS). Write a code in HTML to create a web-page containing at least: title text, body background, a table having one row and two columns, an image and a text with hyperlink. (4+6=10)

16. What are common security threats to computer system? Explain. Discuss also the security mechanism to protect against those threats. (5+5=10)
